Bobonaro

The inhabitants of the municipality of Bobonaro are made up of the Kemak, Bunak, Tetun Terik and Bekais ethnic groups. According to the Tais classifications, the Tais variation in this municipality is classified into the category of Kemak and Bunak. Tais with the category of Kemak dispersed from Bobonaro to Ermera, Aileu, Ainaro, Manufahi and Liquiça. And the Bunak category extended to Covalima, Ainaro, Manufahi and some parts of West Timor, currently belonging to Indonesia. In this municipality there is a type of Tais with a combination of characters from both categories, which is called Tais Mgai or Tais Naban.
